The Motor Industry Communicators Association’s online presence has been updated, as part of MICA’s partnership with BlackWebs (www.blackwebs.co.uk), a one-stop provider of website design.

The association’s new look at mica.org.uk will be launched to members and prospects at SMMT Test Day at Millbrook on May 25.

BlackWebs offers a complete planning, development and maintenance service for business websites – all managed in-house by a dedicated and experienced team based in South East London. Following MICA working with BlackWebs on its website, the industry association has negotiated preferential rates for members.  BlackWebs is offering its “Everything Included”service at a discounted rate of £30 + VAT per month (normally £35 + VAT), with no-start up charge for any business website development.

MICA, in collaboration with Test Day organisers the SMMT, is holding an end-of-day reception for industry PRs in the on-site Concept Centre for networking between attending communicators.  MICA committee member Mike Orford, of VW, will briefly outline the association’s successes to date in under two years, responding to member feedback for support in training and personal development.  To join the reception, contact MICA’s Oliver Rowe at Ford (orowe@ford.com).

MICA member benefits include masterclasses, mentoring and its affiliation with organisations including the PRCA, Business Writing Academy and now BlackWebs.

Formed over 15 years ago by Tom Gibbons, BlackWebs’ experience enables the Company to build a business website that will perform to a company’s specific goals – from the initial design, on-going updates, Search Engine Optimisation and a full suite of services for a professional business shop window. All this is included in a straight-forward and cost-effective monthly package.

BlackWebs partners with its clients long-term, managing and maintaining their websites long after the initial build.  This ensures the website is always performing and looking its best. Its platforms are continuously developed and updated across the client-base, meaning each website will always benefit from the latest features regardless of when it was built. Clients include Car Guy Tour Italia, Ferrari Club of North America and The Speaker’s Coach.

MICA director Richard Gadeselli said:  “MICA is delighted to announce this partnership with BlackWebs, aimed at providing real business benefits to our membership base.  We look forward to sharing more about our plans and partnerships, helping the development of all auto communicators, at Millbrook next week.”

“As a confirmed petrol-head, I am excited to offer my company’s website skills to MICA members and look forward to helping in MICA’s aims of raising the PR bar in the industry,” said BlackWebs managing director, Tom Gibbons.
